About the Event

The Davis Direction Foundation, Inc. presents "Beyond the EndZONE" a Sports Spectacular event at Piedmont Church in Marietta on March 26th· This educational, inspirational event will include a dinner and a presentation by 3 current NFL starting Tight-Ends, as well Darren Waller will highlight the evening. A dinner for 450, and a presentation and inspirational gathering for 1,000 will transpire. Darren will tell his story of "Addiction to Recovery" and current Middle School, High School, and College Athletes will be encouraged to attend.

This will be a Substance Use Prevention event at which young athletes and young people in attendance will hear true stories of dangerous and deadly effects of legal and illegal drugs. They will hear a tragedy to triumph story of how Darren Waller picked himself up from the bottom of the barrel, propelling himself for an amazing comeback through a second chance offered to him by NFL Oakland Raiders. He will give advice of how he could have been better prepared to avoid drugs in a fast-paced world full of drugs, especially for athletes. He will also talk about how he maintains his sobriety in a drug infested environment. Other athletes, including Hayden Hurst - Baltimore Ravens, Evan Engram - NY Giants, and former Heisman winner George Rogers, will be in attendance to sign autographs and share their stories.

Chris Fulmer of "Ultimate Tailgater's, and BBQ Pit Master known throughout the Southeast, will cater a tailgate sponsored by Credit Union of GA. He has plenty of experience hosting events of this caliber, including the Giants Superbowl tailgate.

Halstead/MetroFlor Addiction Crisis Foundation (HMAC) will match EVERY dollar raised. Our goal is to raise $100,000.00 in sponsorships and ticket/merchandise/auction sales, which will constitute $200,000.00 in total.

The Davis Direction Foundation, Inc. (DDF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit found on www.guidestar.org as a Gold Star organization. Every dollar raised through the non-profit goes back to The Zone, a 21,000 square foot Recovery Support Organization, run by Peers in Long Term Recovery from Substance Use Disorder, an evidenced based model of support. The DDF is a long-time member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and participates regularly in the community as an organization that supports the community in order to "Fight Addiction & Fuel Recovery."
